lyrics
Born from sacred empyrean rays
Blessed by a springtime deluge
Under starlight, amaranthine
A violet gem, in silent beauty
A drop of dew at dawn, a springtime blossom
Sunlight singing in harmony, with the waterfall’s cadence
A choir of splendour, perfect unity
A threnody for the departed petals
The furtive decay hath come this night
Under starlight, a lonely floral soldier stands tall
But the abyss-song calls long and sweet
Under moonlight, a cool wind steals away the last arboreal breath
Recall not bowed, resigned faces
Nor browned stems and withered anther
Forget not the scent of joy
And the inspiring amethyst buds within
Amaranth in title only, alas
Wither, sweetest calyx
At dawn, your sisters shall weep
And noiselessly croon your lilac legacy

I was always intrigued by this group's choice of album covers, it isn't every day that you see high quality space photos in this genre despite the rise of "cosmic" black metal. But the music blew me away, this sounds like Austere took the atmospheric spacey route. (I will assume it's a coincidence that both bands are Australian) porcelainheart-

definetely one of my favourite bm projects lately, love the synth elements. makes you remember how amazing, but terrifying, space really is :) scumdrug
Tokyo band contrast black metal's brutal complexity with shoegaze's abyssal grandeur, resulting in an LP that feels crushing, yet infinite. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 24, 2022

Jordan Vauvert
